Fellow Friday: Alumni Spotlight ft Joyce Doyle, Leaders of Color Washington DC

Joyce "Joy" Doyle is a Leadership Interventionist and expert consultant driving social and organizational change targeting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), Cultural Communication, and organizational workplace performance and sustainability. Joy is a clinically licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, a Project Management Professional (PMP), a Ph.D. Doctoral student in the Urban Leadership and Entrepreneurship Program at the University of the District of Columbia and the owner of Aureum Solutions.

Joy has resided in Washington, D.C, for nearly 20 years. She earned a Bachelor of Science from Longwood University and a Master's degree from Howard University, majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She is a Subject Matter Expert in Stakeholder and Communication Management. She began her career as a Speech-Language Pathologist then transitioned her skills into Project Management, creating a specialized niche that enhances organizational performance, leadership development, workplace culture, and sustainability. Joy is a recognized professor at the University of the District of Columbia, teaching the Project Management certification course in the Workforce Development Program. Joy is a founding member of the Congress Heights Homeowners Association (CHHA), located in Ward 8. She shares the mission to cultivate a community of civic engagement among homeowners to improve public safety, property value, and quality of life in the Congress Heights neighborhoods. Joy's academic research in the Urban Leadership and Entrepreneurship Program focuses on executive functioning skills, minority small business owners, and long-term business sustainability to close the racial wealth gap in America.
