Leonard “LB” Brooks brings over two decades of experience in music & entertainment business strategy, artist development, artist management, publishing, marketing, A&R and operations to Taste Music Group, his latest independent venture.  As CEO and Founder of Taste Music Group, he had a vision to create a safe space for artists to come and feel part of a family, know they are respected, and learn about the industry. In just over 14 months, LB has signed Luis Armando, LoveFrank, and Lil Cray as Taste Music Group’s first artists and inked a joint venture with Cash Money/Republic for Luis Armando, the Taste Music Group artist that helped launch Cash Money’s Latin Division. He launched Taste Radio on the Dash Radio platform which has quickly grown to attract over 100,000 unique listeners each week.  LB began his career in music over 25 years ago managing the late, legendary R&B singer Gerald Levert and super group LSG. He then went on to stints in A&R, marketing and management at labels like Capitol Records and LA Reid’s Hitco Entertainment where he has A&R’d Snoop Dogg, J Holiday, and The Bonfyre amongst other acts. Additionally, he created Meshach Management where he managed Wale, Mario, Karen Civil, and today’s top flight music producers and songwriters. LB strived to create more ways to connect the dots across the highly matrixed music and entertainment industries, identifying new ways to link songwriters, producers, artists, engineers, managers and industry execs to new technologies, platforms and each other. He is committed to building positive and inclusive communities and has served in a variety of Board and Committees such as the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Planning Board, assisted with Michelle Obama’s Reach Higher Program, The Hillary Clinton Campaign for President Council, and most recently named to the Leaders of Color Advisory Board.
